How to play: Divide students into groups of 4–6 students per group. Each group receives one deck of cards and plays in teams of 2–3 students per team. With five decks, up to 30 students can play at the same time.

The game is developed by climate scientists and educators from Sweden and can be used in any subject that addresses climate change and sustainable development — from science and technology to geography, civics, or home economics (recommended from grade 7 and up). The game helps students understand how everyday lifestyle choices and consumption affects the climate — and it’s sure to spark lively discussions and eye-opening discoveries! The goal of the game is to place as many cards as possible in the correct order by size (measured by carbon footprint).

One round takes about 15 minutes to play. Recommended age: 12+
